Of course New Years Eve won’t magically change everything in your life next year.
Unless you want it to!
That’s the thing about magical changes — you’re actually in complete control over whether or not they happen.
Sure, it’s not as romantic as a troll hauling out a crate of loot, or a lumpy frog transforming into a suave guy with a Bentley. But the thing about romance is, it eventually fizzles out under its own steam.
Magic, however, stays with you for as long as you invite it in. Magic becomes your friend, your toolkit, your little black dress/suit of making things happen.
I personally believe New Years Eve persists in popular culture because we all crave a fresh start, a new beginning, a chance to do things better and make sweeping changes. But it’s overwhelming to realize and accept we each have the power to initiate that level of change on a daily basis. So it’s more fun and less stress to pick A Special Day and kick it off with a bang!
Whether or not you enjoy New Years Eve, know you have the power to make the changes you crave on any day of the year. Just take that first step, then another, then another; write down your intentions; invite friends to help you along the way; journal or vlog or Facebook your progress to stay accountable; find ways to make the challenging things fun.
And if this is your night to launch something new, then Skal! Cheers! Sláinte! Salud! Gom bui! Prost! L’chaim! Kampai! I believe in you. And you're not alone!
If you're seeking a magical place to launch amazing new things in your life, I invite you to join me on the Journey to Inner Magic!
